A Long, But Rewarding "EINSTEIN ON THE BEACH"

"Einstein On The Beach" @MusicCenterLA Dorothy Chandler Pavillion is hypnotic, beautiful and mesmerizing, although I have no idea what some of it was about. It lasts 4 and 1/2 intermission-less hours, and yet I could not take my eyes off the stage the entire time, and was fully engaged throughout.   Some of the music and visuals simply took my breath away.  I think it is meant to largely defy rational meaning, but even if not and much of it just went over my head, I still loved it.  I have never seen anything like it, and probably never will again.
